The room was super cozy, and the bonus of having a microwave and mini fridge made it feel like a mini home away from home. Location-wise, it was nice and quiet, perfect for a chill night. The staff was super friendly and helpful; they made checking in a breeze. Plus, the WiFi was solid, which is always a win!
On the flip side, the breakfast options were a bit basic and the surrounding area could use more food choices. I noticed some spots in the hallway could use a good clean-up, but nothing that ruined my stay. it was a lovely getaway!

The room was good basic and great-sized for another pillow included. Everywhere there was fairly clean. Central location close enough to the casino, and a proper restaurant, liked it. Furthermore, to a park...

I had a decent 2-night stay here! The location is super convenient, especially if you're heading to Detroit, plus there's plenty of parking. The room was clean, and I really liked the comfy bed and updated bathroom-definitely a highlight! The breakfast area was decent too, offering a few options like bread and yogurt, which was nice.
The hotel felt a bit dated overall. The hallway and doors could use some love, and we found the lighting in the room to be kind of strange. I also wasn’t a fan of how they charge for early check-in—it set a funky tone for our stay. The parking lot had a few potholes, which made driving in a bit tricky.

Marvellous decent location, close to everything we were going to do. Based so close to a park, casino and tunnel. Good basic and reasonably large units with extra coffee, reasonably comfortable bed plus breakfast and TV. Paid $ 223.

it was meticulously maintained, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. The database also highlighted that there was room for an extra pillow, allowing me to adjust my comfort—a small touch that enhanced my sleep experience.
While it was not a significant inconvenience, it was something that could be improved.

The bed was really comfy which made for decent sleep after a busy day exploring the city. Plus, the staff were friendly and cute, making check-in a breeze.
The hotel itself felt quite dated and in need of some TLC. The hallways were poorly lit, and the carpets showed signs of wear.

I didn't like my stay. The name "Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel" is very misleading. It's a old motel that needs renovating.
The Howard Johnson advertised free wireless internet in the rooms but there was none. The room smelled. The room, carpeting, bathroom fixtures, tv and, I'm assuming, the bed were out of the sixties. The toilet did not flush properly. The smoke detector chirped, I assumed from low battery, and when I alerted the front desk they did nothing to correct it (I ended up taking the batteries out to stop the noise.) The only access to the motel was through the lobby doors which sometimes meant a bit of a long walk, even though there were other entrance doors that said they were unlocked until midnight, they were kept locked. On a big sign out front the Howard Johnson advertises "Elegantly Renovated" - un, no, it's definitely not.
